Bomb attack on NC’s election campaign denounced

Kathmandu, Nov 28 (RSS): Nepali Congress has condemned a bomb attack on an election campaign that involved the NC’s top leaders including party president and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba in Tulasipur in Dang on Tuesday.
An improvised explosive device exploded near Tulai Boarding School around 200 meters away from the programme venue, injuring seven police personnel and a temporary police personal.
In a statement released on Tuesday, chief secretary of the NC central office Krishna Prasad Poudel said that the attack was preplanned, and carried out by those against democracy in an attempt to dismantle the democratic force.
The statement also said the attack violated people’s right to organise an election campaign in a peaceful manner, and demanded action against the bomb planter (s).
