Kathmandu, Jan 20 – CPN (Maoist Center) chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said there seems no condition for anyone else turning back from the party unification process between the CPN (MC) and CPN (UML) as it has been already endorsed by the people.

In his address to a programme organised by Janasanskritik Mahasangh, a cultural organisation close to the party, at the party central office Parisdanda Saturday, he said though some people within the party were protesting against the unification, it would keep no meaning and had no impact on it.
“Reactionary forces are worried to UML-CPN (MC) coming together,” he said, adding that there was no reason for them to be unhappy by this when people have heartily welcomed this.
“In the history of Nepali politics, UML and CPN (MC) have been doing the supplementary role,” Dahal added.

“We have not given up the Maoism while the UML has not foresaken the people’s multiple democracy.”
According to him, the Communist movement in Nepal got divided after the 2019 BS, it is matter of sadness that Communist parties have been divided into different groups.

Leader Dahal further added that discussions were underway on the issues of how to synthesize an ideological course of action of a new communist party and the CPN (MC) and UML had no dispute regarding the contribution of people’s war in history.
