Chinese and Bangladeshi PM congratulates PM Oli

Kathmandu, Feb 15 – Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang has congratulated Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on the latter’s assumption of the office of the Prime Minister of Nepal.

In a message today, Chinese Prime Minister Li has said that Nepal-China relations would be further strengthened during the tenure of Oli adding that both the countries would work jointly in the areas of bilateral interests.

In the message, the Chinese PM has promised to extend support in different areas of bilateral interests under the One Belt, One Road (OBOR) initiative.

Bangladeshi PM Hasina congratulates PM Oli

Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina has congratulated newly appointed Prime Minister Oli today.

CPN (UML) chair KP Sharma Oli on Thursday was appointed as the 41st Prime Minister of Nepal.
PM Hasina also extended best wishes for successful tenure to PM Oli. In a statement today, she said that Nepal and Nepalese people had evaluated PM Oli’s role for the nation’s betterment by elevating him to the post.

PM Hasina has further stated that she was eager to work together with PM Oli for peace and prosperity of South Asia. She also noted Nepalese leaders’ support for the freedom of Bangladesh.

Prime Minister Hasina also extended invitation to Oli to visit Bangladesh in his appropriate time.

PM Oli offers floral tribute to Pushpa Lal’s statue

Newly appointed Prime Minister Oli paid tributes to Pushpa Lal Shrestha (founder general secretary of Communist Party of Nepal) by offering flowers at his statue in Kirtipur, Champadevi today.

PM Oli had reached there after taking the oath of office and secrecy from President Bidya Devi Bhandari earlier today.

Former Prime Minister and Pushpa Lal Memorial Foundation chair Madhav Kumar Nepal had welcomed PM Oli there.
