Kathmandu, Feb 22 – The Election Commission (EC) has made public the calendar for the election to the post of the President to be held on March 13.
A meeting of the EC held Thursday decided to hold the election to the President as per the Clause 4(2) of the Act relating to the Election of the President and Vice-president, 2074 B.S., according to a press note issued by the EC spokesperson Nawaraj Dhakal.
As per the calendar, the name list of the voters would be made public on March 5. Likewise, nomination of the candidates is scheduled to be held on March 7 and final namelist of the candidates would be announced on March 8.
The voting will take place on the day from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm on March 13 and the counting of the votes would begin at 4:00 on the same day, the EC said.
