Kathmandu, April 16 – Prime Minister and CPN (UML) Chair KP Sharma Oli and CPN (Maoist Center) Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal today held a meeting to discuss about the issues relating to unification between the two parties.

During the meeting, the two leaders discussed about how to take the unification matters ahead, exchanging views on summoning a meeting of the party unification coordination committee soon.

Though the meeting was said to be organised on April 10 shortly after the Prime Minister’s India visit, it could not take place yet.

It may be noted the previous meeting of unity coordination committee gave a positive response to the proposal of a joint task force of both political parties for merging the two left parties on coming April 22, the establishment day of Nepal Communist Party of Nepal.
