Kathmandu, Aug 14 – Unified Rastriya Prajatantra Party (Nationalist) chair Prakash Chandra Lohani said he hoped that the Indian side would further increase cooperation for the infrastructure development of Nepal.
Leader Lohani, also former Foreign Minister, came with the remarks at a face-to-face programme here today.
Similarly, the main opposition party deputy general secretary Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat said that India was achieving success on the foundation Mahatma Gandhi’s ideals.
He also said that neighbouring India and China should support Nepal for developing railways in Nepal as Nepal was not in the position of investing for the same from its own capacity alone.
Ruling Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) leader Dr Rajan Bhattarai shared that the Indo-Nepal ties would be strengthened from newer perspective adding that both were working to resolve the inundation problems in border areas and extending air routes.
Likewise, Indian ambassador to Nepal Manjeev Singh Puri has said that the upcoming fourth visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Nepal will further widened bilateral ties. Ambassador Puri also shared that the visit will likely be centered on working together in reaching rail way to Nepal and water way from Gandaki to Ganga of India.
According to him, Indian PM Modi, who is arriving here to attend the BIMSTEC summit, is scheduled to inaugurate Pashupati-based Dharmashala.
Fourth Summit of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation is being held in Kathmandu on August 30 and 31.
