NCP committed to UN Charter and Panchasheel

Kathmandu, Feb. 4 – Ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has clarified that there was no confusion on the party regarding the foreign policy and international relations.

A secretariat meeting of the party held on Monday stated that party’s attention was drawn to the political crisis in Venezuela.

The meeting further concluded that the party was committed to the UN Charter and the principle of Panchasheel.

The party always respects sovereignty, independency and geographical integrity of all nations, read the press release issued by party General Secretary Bishnu Poudel after the meeting.

According to the press statement, foreign intervention in the internal affairs of the states would be intolerable and the people of the sovereign states themselves could resolve their internal problems. Likewise, the press statement states the party’s backing for the world peace, consensus and prosperity.
