Dadeldhura, Dec 10 – Nepali Congress President and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba won a parliamentary seat in Dadeldhura. This is the sixth time he continued to win different elections from this constituency since 2048 B.S. Deuba received 28,044 votes, while his nearest contender CPN (Maoist Centre)’s Khagaraj Bhatta 21,115 votes.
Likewise, the left alliance’s Pathan Singh Bohara claimed a Dadeldhura 1 Provincial Assembly seat. He got 13,563 votes, while his closest rival NC’s Raghubar Bhatta 11,394 votes.

Bhadrapur (Jhapa), Dec 10 (RSS): The CPN (UML) candidate KP Sharma Oli has won the election to the House of Representatives from Jhapa-5 by garnering 57,139 votes.
According to election office, Bhadrapur, Oli’s rival from Nepali Congress Khagendra Adhikari got 28, 297 votes.
Similarly, UML candidate Pabitra Niraula (Kharel) won the election to the House of Representatives from Jhapa-2 by garnering 45,815 votes while her nearest rival from NC Uddhav Thapa received 32,050 votes.
For the state Assemblies, UML candidate Hikmat Thapa won the provincial election from Jhapa-5 (A) by gaining 24,098 while his nearest rival NC’s Anil Kumar Prasain got 18636 votes.
Likewise, UML candidate Arjun Rai won the provincial election from Jhapa-5 (B) with 30,973 votes. His nearest rival NC’s Rajan Kumar Dhungana got 10,993 votes.
Damauli (Tanahun), Dec 10 – Nepali Congress senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel has lost the election to the House of Representatives from Tanahun-1.
Poudel was defeated by CPN (UML) candidate Krishna Kumar Shrestha (Kisan) with the margin of 6,802 votes. Kisan got 34,492 votes while Poudel received 27,690 votes.
The never-defeated leader since 2048BS, Poudel lost the poll for the first time in a wide margin.
Likewise, UML’s Ram Bahadur Gurung emerged victorious from Province Assembly (A) by defeating NC’s Govinda Bhattarai.
Similarly, CPN (Maoist Centre) candidate Hari Bahadur Chuman won the poll of Province Assembly (B) defeating NC’s Raghunath Poudel.
