Oli, Modi exchange invitation of visits

Bhaktapur, Dec 21 – Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi on Thursday telephoned CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli and congratulated the latter on the victory in the recently held elections to the House of Representatives and State Assemblies.

Modi also invited UML Chairman Oli for India visit.

On the occasion, Modi expressed happiness for the grand success of the left alliance in the polls.
Issuing a press note, UML secretary Pardip Kumar Gyawali said Indian PM Modi expressed happiness for completing all three-tiers of elections in Nepal during his telephonic conservation with Oli.
Modi said that success of polls has strengthened democracy in Nepal and expressed confidence that economic development would be achieved after political stability from the victory of left alliance.
Indian Prime Minister said that he was eager to welcome Oli in India after the formation of new government, adding that India was waiting to co-work with the new government.

In response to Modi’s message, Oli thanked for Modi’s wishes, adding that his attention was for political stability, strengthening of democracy, good governance and economic development. “For this, best relations would be maintained with the neighbouring countries,” Oli said.

Likewise, Oli extended invitation to Indian PM Modi for Nepal visit. Oli said that the invitation for visit would be sent for Nepal visit soon after the formation of new government.

Indian PM calls Maoist Centre Chair Dahal

Indian Prime Minister Modi has congratulated CPN (Maoist Centre) Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ for the success of the left alliance in the recent federal and provincial parliamentary elections.

Telephoning Chair Dahal Thursday evening, the Indian PM congratulated Dahal over the successful completion of polls in Nepal, said Dahal’s press coordinator Manahari Timilsina.
It is stated that the matters relating to the current political developments in Nepal were discussed during the talks.

Similarly, Chair Dahal expressed thanks to the Indian PM.

Modi calls PM Deuba

Kathmandu, Dec 21 – Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba for the successful and peaceful completion of federal and provincial parliamentary elections held recently in Nepal.

Telephoning PM Deuba Thursday evening, the Indian PM congratulated PM Deuba for the completion of historical polls in fear-free and impartial manner, said PM Deuba’s press coordinator Govinda Pariyar.
It was stated that PM Modi said India as a neighbour wants to see political stability and development in Nepal.
