New York, Sept 26 – Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali had a meeting with the UK Minister of State for Asia and the Pacific, Mark Field, at the UN Headquarters here on Tuesday.
Matters of bilateral interest and concern were discussed during the meeting.
Also present on the occasion were the Foreign Secretary Shanker Das Bairagi, spokesman at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Joint Secretary Bharat Raj Poudel and senior officials of the Government of Nepal.
The two ministers are in New York in connection with participating in the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly.
Foreign Affairs Minister Gyawali meets Pakistani counterpart
Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali held talks with Pakistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Shah Mehmood Qureshi at the UN Headquarters here on Tuesday.
The two ministers held discussions on matters of bilateral interest and concern as well as making the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) more active, Foreign Secretary Shanker Das Bairagi, who was present in the meeting, said.
Foreign Affairs Ministry spokesman and joint secretary Bharat Raj Poudel and government senior officials were also present in the meeting. The two Ministers of Foreign Affairs have arrived in New York to attend the 73rd United Nations General Assembly.
Foreign Affairs Minister Gyawali and Bulgarian Foreign Affairs Minister meet
Minister for Foreign Affairs Gyawali had a meeting with Ekaterina Zaharieva, Deputy Prime Minister for Judicial Reform and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria, here on Tuesday.
Both ministers have arrived in New York in connection with attending the 73rd United Nations General Assembly.
