Urlabari, Jan 5 – Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has insisted on slapping action against those involved in the procurement scam of wide body aircraft whosoever s/he is.
Former Prime Minister Deuba said this while inaugurating the two-day Province-1 level training programme organized by Nepal National Magar Association, the sister wing of the party, at Letang Municipality of Morang today.
Deuba clarified that those involved in the procurement malaise of the wide body aircraft of the Nepal Airlines Corporation should be brought to action irrespective of their affiliation of any political party.
Formation of two probe committees on part of the government has created doubt, he said, it may be an ill-attempt to conceal the truth. “NC would not leave anyone involved in such scam go free. The government is loosing its credibility and grip for not being able to perform to live up to the people’s aspirations and wishes”.
The NC President also warned to launch nationwide protest against the government’s interventions in several sectors, including education, communications and police organization.
Deuba also accused the government of unnecessarily panicking the business and industry by imposing taxes in a rampant manner.
Speaking on the occasion, NC joint general secretary Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat, central members Dr Shekhar Koirala, Dr Minendra Rijal, Biswo Prakash Sharma, Dr Dila Sangraula and Amrita Aryal underlined the need of party unity for winning hearts of the people targeting next elections.
