Kathmandu, March 5 – Minister for Finance Dr Yubaraj Khatiwada has projected that the economic growth in the current fiscal year would be between 7 to 8 per cent.
While releasing a half yearly review report on current fiscal year budget at the Ministry today, Finance Minister Khatiwada shared that the economic growth rate would be close to the target.
He added that the growth rate would be of 8 per cent if the financial institutions and banks were able to issue the loans as per the demand. He added that the rise of demand for loan was a positive sign for enhancing the economic activities therefore it will bring positive change in the future.
The Finance Minister also shared that the state was adopting an open economic policy therefore state itself can’t interfere the market.
Also present on the occasion were vice chair of National Planning Commission Dr Pushpa Kandel and Nepal Rastra Bank Governor Dr Chiranjeevi Nepal.
