Kathmandu, Feb 28 – The Non Resident Nepalis Association (NRNA) has said that all the NRNs have been shocked by the news of the death of seven people including Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Rabindra Adhikari, in a helicopter crash that occurred in Taplejung on Wednesday.
The Association has prayed for eternal peace of the departed souls and extended condolences to the bereaved families. It stated that the nation has lost a true nationalist and an active leader in Adhikari’s demise.
“NRNA had a close association and collaboration with Adhikari who is known as a philanthropist and youth leader in Nepali politics. We will remember for long the initiatives he has taken for promotion of Nepal’s tourism after assuming the post of Minister for Tourism,” Association spokesman Bhusan Ghimire stated in a press release today.
It has also prayed seeking fortitude to the family members of all those killed in the accident including Yeti Airlines’ managing director and a leading tourism entrepreneur, Ang Tshring Sherpa, at this hour of grief.
Meanwhile, Nepal Chamber of Commerce has also expressed sorrow over the death of seven people including Minister Adhikari and tourism entrepreneur Sherpa. It has extended condolences to the members of the bereaved families.
