Kathmandu, March 13 – Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher JB Rana has issued a written directive, urging all judges across the country to make judiciary effective and dignified.
Circulating the directive via the chief judge of the High Courts, the CJ Rana directed all those working in the judiciary to ensure prompt and quality legal service with utmost honesty, diligence and accountability.
It is time to promote people’s trust on judiciary, so the sensitivity was imperative while delivering legal services. As the middlemen create hurdles and interference, stopping entry of such person at court is equally important, he added.
Monitoring and regulation are other essentials to boost judicial good governance, he said, adding that discipline in Chief Judge and the subordinate helps in this regard.
Those involved in the irregularities must be brought to book and informed on time, the CJ wrote in the directive, urging for sensitivity on dissemination of news on social media so that trust on judiciary would not erode.
